Hello!
We just returned from Gulf Shores. Aside from some sand being washed up along the sidewalks, the Sandpiper looks great. By Friday, the sand was removed from the sidewalks. The pool was completely unaffected. It looked great. The beach looked good and the restoration was moving along at a good clip about a half a mile to the east of the Sandpiper. A lot of the beach front restaurants are still closed, but that was left over from Ivan. The Original Oyster House, DeSotos, Hooters, and Bahama Bob's were all open and the Gulf Shores Steamer had an add in a magazine saying they would be open sometime in July. Even with all the construction going on around the Sandpiper, the Sandpiper was great. We had a wonderful time.

Wow! The progress looks great! I just saw the May 05 pictures and I'm very impressed. I can't wait to see it in person in October. Let's all pray that this season's storms are much nicer to the Gulf Coast!!
