The updated pictures have been posted. There were quite a few more than I expected. I also added some local places that we've enjoyed over the years. The little red building used to be Pappa's Pizza. Although the damage to the Sandpiper is substantial, the complex will recover and is in much better shape than neighboring complexes. The units themselves are in good shape aside from busted windows on the exterior of the building. All of the interior windows of the complex (windows facing the pool and courtyard) were intact. Thanks again for all of the thoughts and prayers we've received over the past weeks. The Bowmans

Mike went down to Gulf Shores yesterday. He took quite a few more pictures, which I will post on Wednesday. Amazingly enough, our condo suffered no damage. Not even a broken window. He tried to take pictures that will show all units from the Sandpiper. If you have trouble pulling them up with a slower connection, just email me.

It is amazing how many people you see from Louisville year after year at the Sandpiper. Terry Meiners even mentioned it on his radio show after Ivan. We've only owned our unit for two years, so this is our first hurricane, but we've been going to the Sandpiper for 13 years.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on your website. The Sandpiper is THE PLACE for the Louisville crowd.
We have been owners for 15 years and have been through 5 hurricanes. We will survive and thrive.
